Facilities Managers Guide to Workplace Safety 2016/17 – Released

facilities guideAs a facility manager, it is your primary duty to manage risks associated with hazardous workspaces. Pro-Visual Publishing has released their 2016/17 edition of the Facilities Managers Guide to Workplace Safety to assist facility managers in complying with their legal responsibilities and duties.

The two essential areas covered in this year’s Guide are about managing:

· Hazardous workspaces.

· Ladder safety.

The Guide offers a checklist for facility managers on the safe use of ladders, ensuring that elevated work is always performed safely. Facility managers must ensure that Safe Work Method Statements are prepared for any work to be carried out above two metres and a risk assessment for any work below this. Now interactive through the addition of Augmented Reality (AR), the Guide provides users access to further information and resources via their smartphones and tablets.

Incorporating this interactive technology into the Guide has created a multimedia experience and a window for more information and resources relevant for facility managers. By simply scanning over any AR capable content using the free Pro-Vis AR App users can instantly download relevant content to their smart device.

“I would like to thank all of the sponsors of the Facilities Managers Guide to Workplace Safety 2016/17. Their support has made it possible for the Guide to be distributed free of charge” – John Hutchings, CEO, Pro-Visual Publishing.
